the beginners guide | pre-care
Your permanent makeup results begin long before your appointment. Proper preparation helps minimize bleeding, reduces sensitivity, and allows pigment to implant into the skin more effectively for beautiful, long lasting healed brows.
Below are the most important steps to take before your appointment.
AVOID BLOOD THINNERS
For 24-48 hours before your appointment, avoid:
Aspirin
ALCOHOL
Ibuprofen
Fish Oil
Vitamin E
CAFFEINE
These can increase bleeding, making pigment retention and implantation more difficult.
Stay hydrated
Healthy, Hydrated skin accepts pigment better.
Drink plenty of water during the days leading up to your appointment and keep your skin moisterized.
pause active skincare
Avoid using the following near your brows for approximately 1 week before your appointment. Such as:
Retinol

Tretinoin
Glycolic Acid
Salicylic Acid
Chemical exfoliants
Anti-aging skincare

Avoid the following
Brow waxing
Brow Tinting
Brow lamination
Threading
botox & fillers
Schedule Botox and Fillers at least 2 weeks before or after your permanent makeup appointment.
